So much in life boils down to money.
I am exceptionally fortunate that I have an understanding employer and business partners that allow me the freedom to do the comedy I do.
But the real gatekeeper of my time is money. I don't got none. Now like most things in life all things are relative, but to be truly honest with myself I'm about as hand to mouth as you can be in this world.
My car had a minor breakdown today, pushed the credit card back to the limit. I still haven't got my leaking struts fixed or my bumper repaired. Sure we pay the bills and go to Vegas once a year, but that pulls us back to zero every time.
So it's a struggle to prepare for Gotham and meeting some very cool people when you're pinching pennies that don't even exist anymore.
This experience is amazing and I've done all I can to minimize the cost but there still is one.
It's just one more later of pressure I wish wasn't there, one more time vampire chewing on rehearsal and writing time, and this monster seems to be slowly growing bigger. Damn.
Quick thanks to my web gurus at The Foggy Lemon for getting my new blog set up on my website.
